Mike Mutnansky, Callahan's co-host, will return to hosting evenings at WEEI, a position he had previously occupied.

WEEI retooled its morning show last year following the departure of Callahan's former co-host, Kirk Minihane. Minihane had been on indefinite leave from the show amid his battle with mental health issues, and announced in November that he would be launching his own show on Radio.com, which is owned by Entercom. But earlier this year, Minihane left Entercom to launch a new podcast on Barstool Sports.

Hill's new show is expected to carry over much of the content from his existing morning show on the rock station WAAF, with some changes. For example, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will continue his weekly, in-season interviews on Monday mornings on WEEI. The show will also feature a monthly interview with Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker.
