IFunbox Quick Toolbox iFunbox Quick toolbox provide several interesting quick shortcuts, such as import music to iPhone, transfer iPhone photos to computer, etc. I don't recommend to use iFunbox to transfer iPod music or iPhone photos because there is no option. Download iFunbox Latest Version iFunBox is an iPhone or iPad general file manager program. It handles the file in a way that is more stable and comfortable with windows file explorer however. With the automated file transfer and browsing, you can conveniently forward files and directories to your device. Below will show you the step-by-step tutorial on how to use iFunbox without iTunes, hereinafter we take “import & export music” function as an example. First of all, open iFunbox and then connect your iPhone to computer. After having done that, Click Quicktool Box Import Files and Data iPod Music.

in General App Discussion
Files

For most everything I do music production wise I can keep pretty much to the iPad only. With Dropbox and the greatly expanded Files app transferring files (Samples, Backups, etc.) can be taken care of without a computer.

How To Use Ifunbox To Transfer Music Pc

But I have some stuff on my computer that I want transferred over but would rather not do the Dropbox copy middle man routine. Is anyone using iCloud for Windows? Is it really as easy as dragging files from the hard drive into the iCloud folder, etc. Do they appear on the iPad Files app ready to go?

How To Use Ifunbox To Transfer Music Files

Is iFunbox still used by anyone? Any recommendations for it? I know some apps require iTunes File Sharing as the only way to transfer stuff so there’s still that to contend with (I know that hassle is becoming less & less of an issue as apps migrate to other sharing protocols).

How To Use Ifunbox To Transfer Music Free

Just kind of a general question, in these days of iOS 11 & the Files app how are you all doing your file management & transfers?

Thanks, be cool..

  • For audio files in general I always use the Wifi sever in AudioShare. You move stuff both in and out of the iPad super fast.

    As far as iTunes goes..
A while back I got sick of iTunes and deleted it from my Windows 7 PC. Then I needed to use it again so I tried to re-install it, but iTunes hates me now and keeps saying I am missing some Windows system file and won't work. So I searched around to see what others do in my situation and found 2 programs: Syncios and iFunbox. I tried Syncios first and it worked great for me, so I never tried iFunbox. But iFunbox seems like the more popular one so maybe someone else will have something to say about that one.

So AudioShare wifi server for audio, midi, even .sf2 files or .zip archives. Syncios for things that require iTunes file sharing.

I am still waiting for the Files app to get real, so haven't explored too much there. Not that there is much to check out yet, but hopefully soon as it is more widely adopted by iOS devs.

    This

  • Mostly itunes and wifi. Occasionally, ifunbox but I run it isolated in a sandbox with no internet access as it seems me a bit shady to me (no evidence of this, it is just me)

  • I always use Dropbox, but didn't know about the Wifi sever in AudioShare, so I'm going to try that next time.

  • Thanks guys, it seems the Dropbox & AudioShare WiFi solutions are solid ways to handle stuff. My issue was I installed iCloud for Windows on my PC, copied a large folder over to it from the hard drive and when I go to the iPad’s iCloud directory in Files it doesn’t show up.

I don’t see where I can re-sync it & the nets been pretty barren as far as solutions. I assume most just find another way to skin the cat, which as you’ve shown there are many.

Blue cat audio patchwork free. I just wanted streamlined iCloud access, you know? Like have it be the “central hub”. Oh well, if I have to go from PC to Dropbox to iCloud (if I wanted it eventually there) that’ll work..

  • I only have a PC, but when I tried to use iCloud it so freakin' slow. I was very bummed until I discovered the AudioShare Wifi server. I used the FTP server in VirtualAns because it is the only(?) maybe easiest way to get files in and out of VirtualAns, but the speed of the file transfer was excellent. Then I noticed AudioShare had something similar and have been so happy since. I guess I avoided it initially because I thought it would be a pain to setup, but it is so simple really.

Everyone should be aware of this feature. Try it if you haven't already.

  • I've never installed iCloud for Windows. You may already know this, but you can access your iCloud drive with a web browser at https://www.icloud.com. It's worked well enough for me on the few occasions I've used it.

Just my opinions, nothing more, nothing less.

I appreciate it brother..no the laptop that has the iCloud for Windows, etc stuff is my web-email general use machine. It just had some wav files I wanted to use.

I'll give those other applications a look @StudioES, be cool..

That's cool. My iCloud for Windows hates me too and refuses to cooperate.

  • Yeah iCloud for windows is awful software. It's really slow and doesn't tell you how long something will take to upload, just suddenly appears there, very frustrating.
First time I used files app properly in iOS 11 today though and I'm impressed, or rather this should have been in iOS before now..

  • IFunBox is no longer working for me (as of 11.1) on OSX. Anyone else have this issue? The contents of my iPad/iPhone no longer show up. I am running the latest version as per the iFunbox website.

  • Transmit is an app that works really well, and fast for file transfers. That being said, I do use iCloud on my Windows computer. Make sure you have the Bonjour drivers installed: https://support.apple.com/downloads/bonjour_for_windows

  • I use CopyTrans Apps for years. No unnecessary installation hassle, fast and reliable.

  • I use iTunes to transfer iPhone music to PC. In iTunes, there is a feature called iCloud Music Library which supports iOS users to access to your music across all of your devices. After you open up Apple Music in iTunes, you need to login with your Apple ID and turn on iCloud Music Library. And then you can redownload your past purchases from the iTunes Store on any of your devices. Even if you bought an item on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you can redownload it on your Mac or PC.

  • Well after some trial and error I think I've found the fastest, at least for me, way to transfer files in & out of iOS.

Since the Files app in iOS11 is so all encompassing, if your end game is wanting files stored in iCloud or AudioShare it's pretty much the same thing, different name.

Now I can say that iCloud for Windows DOES work for bringing folders & files into iCloud and then iCloud to the iOS app itself. The caveat is as @CracklePot & @Carnbot said it takes a LONG time. The process is a two way transfer, so while data is being uploaded to iCloud from your hard drive there's also data being downloaded to the iCloud folder in Windows in order for everything to be synced.

Simple enough but again, my experience, even with my good cable modem net connection, it took awhile..2 days in fact, and that means the PC has to be awake to continue the process. Putting it into sleep or turning the computer off stops the transfer.

If you don't mind waiting, iCloud for Windows does work, but I'd only use it to transfer GB+ folders, that way while it takes awhile to transfer you don't have to upload a folder/file hierarchy piecemeal like some options force you to do.

I dig the AudioShare WiFi drive feature and it's perfect for transfers of a few files. But for multiple folder transfers it isn't ideal since you can only transfer files not folders. Same with iFunbox, which is also very useful, but with it you have more control over where you are sending stuff because of its sandbox/iTunes File Transfer ability.

Sorry to go all long winded, its just that I was originally curious to find THE best file transfer solution but after experimenting with the CopyTransApp that @StudioES suggested, trying iFunBox & the AudioShare wifi drive I see that it is very case dependent and there is no 'perfect/best' way to deal with audio files and their use with iOS .

    Be cool..

You might want to give GoodReader a look..

`* access servers & easily transfer files - access to a wide range of servers to easily store your data: Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, box.com, WebDAV, SMB, AFP, FTP, SFTP

    • Auto Sync with remote servers
    • easily maintain huge collections of files
    • copy, move, rename, zip, unzip and unRAR files and folders
      `

AirDrop could come in handy, too.

EDIT: I should also mention you can zip your folders in AudioShare. Long press a folder to see a 'Make Zip Archive' option. Maybe that's the missing piece.

Man thank you! I ALWAYS forget about that ZIP feature in AudioShare. And I have the Documents app by Reedle(sp?) I believe, but it's another file management app and it has zip utilities too right in iCloud!

Yeah, that is another bigtime piece to the puzzle, thanks again @telecharge

New one on me, too. Must give that a go. Normally, I’d use Dropbox.

I compress things to a .zip file first. Then I move that single file onto you iOS device. In AudioShare I can unpack the .zip file to access the contents. Honestly haven't tried it the other way though, from iOS to desktop. Something for me to try later today, I guess.

lol- got pulled away in the middle of this response, but now see it has been discussed already.

When I had a PC I used Funbox.

Now with my new MacBook Pro I think I may try it because I can't get the access to the files in sandbox I did with PC ifunbox combo.

Actually, I have a PC I need to hook up and get all my samples burned and transferred from DigMusic and DJ mags onto PC and then over to the new MacBook Pro.

I will report back on how this all goes to what is best/easiest for moving shit around.
